RCS TX-15B X-10 Controlled Thermostat
|
|
The TX15B Thermostat functions both as a standard thermostat and a processor of remote X-10 commands to set specific temperature setpoints, and modes, for the HVAC system. The leading-edge two part design of the TX15 consists of a TS15 Wall Display Unit and the TX15 HVAC Control Unit.
TS15 Wall Display Unit
The TS15 provides a typical thermostat user interface with display of the current temperature, setpoint or mode on a two digit Backlit LCD display. It has pushbuttons for setpoint down, setpoint up, mode and fan control. The TS15 has a digital temperature sensor and changes in temperature are sent to the TX15B HVAC Control Unit along with any push button commands.
TX15B HVAC Control Unit
The TX15B HVAC Control Unit maintains temperature control for the TX15B Thermostat. It receives updates from the TS15 Wall Display Unit of temperature changes and pushbutton command inputs. The TX15 HVAC Control Unit also has an X-10 interface that allows it to receive commands from a remote X-10 source. This Bi-Directional model can send/receive X-10 commands via a 512 command extended code table.
The TX15B HVAC Control Unit controls standard gas/electric, single stage heat, single stage cool, or heat pump systems with two stage heat, one stage cool HVAC systems. It connects to the HVAC system via standard thermostat connections. It is also adaptable to hydronic, radiant and other types of independent heating and/or cooling systems.
X-10 Interface
The TX15B interfaces to X-10 through the TX15 HVAC Control Unit via a TW523/PSC05 interface module and cable.
Use your existing 4 Conductor thermostat wire to connect the Controller (Mounted at the Furnace/Air Handler) to the Wall Display Unit. The Controller then wires to the Furnace/Air Handler, and commands are sent and received via X-10 Protocol.
Requires One full X10 house code.
